A middle-aged man died on Friday morning in a lone accident while travelling in his Honda Accord car marked EPE 798 CU along Abeokuta-Kobape-Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State.
The accident occurred around 7.40am at the notorious Onipepeye axis.
The spokesman for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps , Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the accident was caused by over-speeding.
He said, “The accident was caused by over-speeding. The driver lost control due to the excessive speeding and the vehicle veered into the bush with fatal consequence.”
He said the corpse of the victim had been deposited at the General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
