'I fear I will be arrested' - Man who abandoned his wife & twin babies say, wife reassures him of her love for him

Citizen Emeka Uche, the man who abandoned his wife Ruth and their three set of triplets says he is afraid to come out of hiding as he fears he may be arrested. According to him, frustration made him run away from his family after his wife informed him she was having another set of twins. Speaking with The Nation, he said;

"I love my children,  I miss my wife too, but I am afraid to come back. People won’t understand how frustrating life has been. I am scared I would be arrested if I come out. How do I watch my kids suffer? I could not tolerate it. I did not even have money to assist my family. I watched them suffer daily, without knowing what to do. There were nights I watched my children sleep without food. Some days I will buy N100 garri and akara (bean cake) for my family. Because of my low income, I was always in debt before the end of each month. I am a factory worker and I earn N33,000 after tax and union fees. Then I have four children and a wife to take care of, which has been very difficult,  I could not stand having a new set of twins that will come to this world to suffer. Initially, I thought it would be a child, probably a boy so that I would have two sons and three girls, but when I learnt it was twins again,  the only thing that came to my mind was to run away. It was not an easy decision and I have not been happy knowing that I abandoned them. My wife is a very good woman and I love her. I love my children too. I became frustrated when I called my brothers for assistance and they did not even answer me. I just dressed up that morning, I knew I won’t come back but I didn’t tell her so that she would not feel bad. I am pained that I have not seen my wife and children for three months, sister you won’t understand my situation, but know that it has not been easy for me,” he lamented on telephone, as he refused to disclose his location.”he said

His wife who was with the reporter while the telephone interview was being conducted reassured him of her love for him and that no one will arrest him saying anyone who arrests him will kill her first

"Please do not hang up the phone on me my heart. Just listen to what I have to say. I understand that things have not been easy but you should know that we have suffered alot. Please come back to me and your children. No one will arrest you because you are still my husband and I still love you. Anyone who arrests you will kill me first. Please talk to this aunt and also come so that we can go to Alausa together. They are all good people and mean well for us,”she said

Mrs Uche who received N200, 000 cash gift from Thisday Newspaper was at the bank to open an account and she looked at her three months old twin babies whose birth has brought her fortune and said

"You are a blessing to my family. What would have happened if I had aborted you? I would have just continued suffering with your brother and sisters and father”.she said

Miss Zimbabwe 2015 dethroned over nude photos

Miss Zimbabwe Pageant officials today announced that they have dethroned its reigning queen, 25 year old Emily Kachote, following the publishing of her nude photos in a National tabloid just weeks after she was crowned Queen on April 26th.

The Zimbabwean tabloid had in May carried a report and published nude photos of Queen Emily, claiming she shared the photos on a Whats-app group. Emily was questioned and she confessed to sharing the photos on the whatsapp group some months before she became queen. Ironically, Emily's dethronement comes a year after her predecessor was dethroned for the same reason.

Dangote Billionaire set to provide 24hr electricity in Lagos

I think the change we need is already here 

Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote is set to provide the country’s commercial hub, Lagos State with 24-hour power supply.

Dangote disclosed this during a meeting with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

The billionaire said further that plans have already been concluded to construct a gas pipeline to address the power supply challenges in the state.

“We also assured him that we are going to do a Gas Pipeline from Bonny (River State) to pass under the sea (to Lagos.) When it is completed, Lagos state will never ever experience blackout. There will be electricity 24 hours a day,” Dangote said.

“There are quite a lot of things that will come along with creating so many jobs. I think Lagos will be one of the fastest growing cities in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. I can assure you that we would do our own bit in terms of your efforts in policing Lagos, for security and whatever the need is, feel free to call us, we would partner with you and whatever you want us to do to make Lagos a better place,”he added.

Dangote also said that his visit to Ambode was for the purpose of assuring the governor of his commitment to complete the ongoing projects already embarked upon by his company.

Another tanker explosion razes over 10 houses in Lagos

Barely three days after petrol tanker burst into flames at Iyana-Ipaja destroying millions of properties, another petrol tanker inferno occurred at Idimu Bus Stop, Egbe Idimu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos midnight destroying millions of properties.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when two tankers loaded with diesel were in a race to outwit each other and in the process one of the two tankers over-turned spilling its content on the road and immediately burst into flames.

Houses set ablaze at Idimu as fuel tanker bust into flames

The situation could have been worst but for the timely intervention of the Lagos State Fire Service saved the day.

As at press time it could not be confirmed if there was any loss of lives as the inferno was still raging with fire fighters battling to put out the fire as 3 AM this morning.

However, the fire was eventually put out around 6 AM by men of the fire service.

The situation set the whole community into confusion as everyone ran for dear lives.

Six Killed In Ilaje Renew Community Violence In Ondo over Land Dispute

Six persons  lost their lives to an  attack that happened 
on Wednesday at  Ilaje Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State, 

 The resident, who identified himself as Mr. Enitan Ayenuro, told a
SaharaReporters correspondent in Akure that the violence might have
ensued as a result of a land tussle between the Olu of Igbokoda
Kingdom, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo and the family house of Prince Tale
Iwatan, in Tthere had been accusations and counter-accusations that Oba Odidiomo was desperate to forcefully take over the
Iwatan family land.

Also, another source in the community, who pleaded not to be named, corroborated the story and told Saharareporters that the
violence was caused by a long battle between the supporters
of the Olu of Igbokoda Kingdom, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo, and the late Titi
Olalebi royal family.

It was exclusively gathered that late Titi Olalebi is a cousin to the
‎Tale Iwatan ruling house.

"It was a communal clash that resulted into the violence. You would
recall that some loyalists of Oba Odidiomo murdered ‎the late Olalebi
in a gruesome attack in 2013.

"Since then there had been threats from the two famies and everyone
‎has been very careful about the situation here in Ilaje", the source
added.

According to Mr. Ayenuro, some of the hoodlums working on the orders
of Oba Odidiomo stormed the family house of Prince Tale Iwatan and
attacked the residential building of the family.

He revealed that the hoodlums armed with guns, clubs, and other
dangerous weapons shot sporadically into the air and went on a
rampage in the area.

Mr. Ayenuro disclosed that the hoodlums attacked residents of the
compound and set personal belongs of the Iwatan's family ablaze,
including a Volkswagen vehicle and motorcycle.emitan community.

However, the Police image maker in the State‎, Wole Ogodo, told
journalists when contacted on phone confirmed the incident.

Ogodo said that Anti-riot policemen have been dispatched to the community
to maintain law and order.

Car filled with thousands of bees' creates confusion on the road in Montana

Photos of a recent traffic stop in Missoula, Montana, are generating a lot of buzz after police said a responding trooper discovered the car was filled with "thousands of bees".

The bee-filled car was pulled over after police received a "complaint of a vehicle driving all over the road," a Montana Highway Patrol official wrote on its Facebook page.

"The reporting party stated the inside of the car had bees all over the windows and flying throughout the car," the Montana Highway Patrol added.

 

The driver told Trooper Lynwood Bateman that the bees were harmless Russian honeybees, police said.

 

Police then contacted the state apiarist and learned the driver didn't need any permits to transport the bees through the state, so the driver was just issued a citation for careless driving, officials said.
