#talkwithbmartins: THE MAKING OF A DIVA...part 1

Are Diva's born or made? Now this is the question for the week😉.
Personally I believe "Divas" are born, and I also believe there is a Diva inside every woman. First, let's find out the true definition of a "Diva". The word "Prima Donna" actually means "First Lady" and was used to describe the principle female singer in an opera or concert organization.
This spoke of her level of talent.
She was a primo, the best, unsurpassed by countless others, "the creme de la creme"!
It has been said that "Divas" command attention without demanding it. There is just something about a true diva. There is an air of confidence, finesse, style and originality mingled with a certain "je ne sais quoi" as the French word would say in a grand manner. From the moment a Diva steps into the room, everyone knows that "she" has "arrived".
Divas never walk into a room , they arrive!
Their bearing and manner sends the signal loud and clear that "I am a woman set apart".
They never exit a room without leaving a part of themselves behind. A rich deposit of wisdom, an encouraging word, something seemingly intangible yet profound, that leaves a lasting impression on the hearts of those who Interacted with them.
Indeed! Because we now know the first definition for "Diva" is "Divine", we can totally attribute this speed quality to being a God thing. A deposit of the divine nature of God was placed into the spirit of every woman when the breath of life into her became a living soul.
In that moment, she was set apart for a unique purpose with divine credentials for living out her calling.
A big invisible stamp was placed on her that made everyone recognize she was special.
So, my lady, in order to become this total outstanding and victorious package, we need to make sure that everything in our lives is in divine order... Spiritually, emotionally and physically. And the key is "ATTITUDE" : Attitude is everything.
But how do you get the right diva-tude? How do you find the real you, the one that is worthy of celebrating, especially if your attitude has been formed by the opinions, affirmations, or criticisms of others? As someone really special to me will always say, opinions are like "Tushes" everyone has one.....that there are three views of who we are- ours, others, and God's. So who do we listen to? Ourselves? Others? God? You guessed it right honey, God! His the only valid opinion. He knows everything, sees everything and understands everything about you. He's straight forward, honest, and ever optimistic about you. Others can only see you through their own experiences....  (Just pause and smile😉😊)

So now what's a Diva to do? Throw out all the baggage  and sweep out all the lies that make you victim instead of a victor. If a simple girl like Esther could become a queen, then you can truly rise to diva stature. It's time to rearrange your mind, and be quite honest, perhaps a few friendships and associations. Mike Murdoch, framed author and teacher, says it best, "Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated".
Last but not the least, the shulammite woman in the bible, the woman whose story I love sooooooo much, had something to offer besides herself. She had a vineyard to give to her king. Financial security is a big confidence booster, but it extends beyond that.
What else do you have to offer besides physical beauty? Intelligence? Resourcefulness? The gift of hospitality? Creativity? Style?
A true "Diva" in other to be considered divine, needs to be a complete package. She must come bringing more than herself or what she wants to the party.
Now!!! its time to complete the picture of who you are as a woman....
Coming up next week are the do's and don't of a "diva" you can't afford to miss this one....
Have a great week ahead and don't forget to be a  "Diva"....

$2.1bn Arms probe: EFCC slams fresh charges against Olisa Metuh

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, on a fresh two-count-charge of destroying the evidence against him.

Metuh, who was yesterday, docked before an Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama on a two-count charge bordering on his alleged destruction of evidence against him, pleaded not guilty to the charge. Metuh was for the second time brought to court in handcuffs.

This happened just as the trial of embattled former National Security Adviser, NSA, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd) on a 19-count-charge turned dramatic, yesterday, at the Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama as the trial judge stood down trial for two hours, insisting that he must be produced in court as required by law before he could continue with the proceedings.

$2.1 Arms Scandal: I Spent My Money On Jonathan’s Campaign- Anenih

A former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT)  of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, has given an insight into the controversial N260 million he received from the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuko (retd), during the Jonathan administration.
Sunday Vanguard learnt, at the weekend, that Anenih shed light on the money in a letter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The money is the subject of a probe by the EFCC as part of the investigation into the $2.1 billion arms money Dasuki allegedly disbursed for purposes other than security.

A source at that anti-graft agency quoted the former BoT Chairman of the PDP as  saying, in the letter, that the N260 million was a refund of the N400 million he disbursed, on the instruction of Jonathan to elder statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai; the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae; and the leader of the Accord Party, Alhaji Rashidi Ladoja, among others, for ‘special political assignments’ ahead of the 2015 polls.

The source added that Anenih claimed that he merely, on request, gave the former President his bank account details into which the refund should be made, and that he was not in the position to ask Jonathan how he was going to source money for the refund or through which office it would be made.

Falae and Ladoja have confirmed receiving N100 million each  from the PDP leader while Yakassai took N63 million.

According to the EFCC source, Anenih explained that the N263 million he gave to the three men  was N3 million in excess of the N260 million paid him, while he had outstanding balance of N180 million to collect from the former President.

“The PDP leader made it clear in the letter to the EFCC that he was not a beneficiary of the money and that he was only acting on the instruction of Jonathan  to disburse it”, the source stated.

Other disbursements Anenih made on Jonathan’s instruction to bring the total to N400 million, according to the letter, include N25 million to a former deputy governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Muktari Shagari, and N35 million to a delegation of local government leaders from Katsina State.

Besides, Anenih was said to have indicated in the letter that, on the instruction of the former President, the BoT of the PDP then, under his chair, embarked on a nationwide reconciliation tour and that the money he spent on hiring private jet during the tour, among other responses, was also not refunded to him.

The PDP leader pointed out that, in spite of his commitment to stabilising the party and its leadership and to ensure post-election peace, he was pressurized to resign as BoT chair on  trumped-up charges  of anti-party activities and alleged overbearing influence.

#PHOTOS Angelina Jolie at Kung Fu Panda 3 premiere

Angelina Jolie kept her outfit simple as she arrived for the premiere of Kung Fu Panda 3 on Saturday.

The actress skipped the fancy frocks usually seen at such events in favour of a little black dress and a similarly plain pair of black court shoes.

The constantly busy mother-of-six looked radiant, her clear skin and bright eyes showing no sign of tiredness.

However her legs and arms looked rather incredibly thin, a sign perhaps of her hectic year.

20 killed’ as al- Qaeda lays siege on Burkina hotel

About 20 people were killed at Splendid Hotel, a luxury facility in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso capital, during an attack staged by suspected militants of the Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). The attackers reportedly stormed the hotel, which is popular with Westerners and French soldiers based in the country, and a nearby café on Friday, after setting off bombs. Security forces stormed the place and engaged them in a gun battle, resulting to the liberation of about 120 hostages. According to the BBC, exchanges of fire are continuing at the hotel as special forces seek to break the deadly siege. Remi Dandjinou, the Burkinabe communications minister, told the BBC there were between six and seven gunmen and they had been staying at the hotel. He also said Clement Sawadogo, the country’s minister of public works, was among those freed at the hotel, adding that 33 people were in hospital receiving treatment. Simon Compaore, interior minister, said 10 bodies had been found on the terrace of the nearby Cappuccino cafe. The SITE monitoring group, which analyses jihadist networks, says AQIM has claimed responsibility for the attack. In November, AQIM launched an attack on a hotel in Bamako, capital of Mali, leaving 19 people dead. Similar attacks have taken place in Egypt, Tunisia and different parts of Africa. Burkina Faso had recently held its first presidential election since a coup earlier last year. That coup toppled long-time leader Blaise Compaore, who had governed for 27 years. The new government, which was appointed on Wednesday following the election of President Roch Marc Kabore in November, was due to hold an emergency cabinet meeting, according to Reuters

#Talk with Bmartins: ONCE UPON A TIME

Once upon a time there was a woman called lonely.... Her desperate search for love led her to places that were not her intention. Down the river of tears to the valley of humiliation. Through the endless plains of depression to the field of shame. Deeper and deeper inside of herself she went until she could no longer see the forest of joy that was set before her, so distracted was she by the trees of her own desires.
Most times she comes to a place called BLAME where she struggled to find the source of her senseless mistakes. There are times where she felt she had been walking in circles, as she had visited this place called "blame" so often...  Then a sweet still voice would call, "continue to travel until you find the answer to your dreams, it is close at hand"..
Onward she traveled, sometimes believing she has gotten to her climate only to discover that it was a mirage. On and on she went. Sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes struggling to put one foot in front of the other...until she faced a dead end...
Realizing she had come to the end of herself, she finally looked up and from the hills, her help came. Strong and gentle, lifting her out of the abyss of her own loneliness. She finally realize she was right back where she had started looking........ Into the eyes of the one who had always loved her.
"Where have you been?" He said, already knowing the answer.
"Looking for love, "she replied.
"I am He, "the stranger answered.
"You look so familiar, "she said, searching the recesses of her heart for a remembrance of the day and the time when they first met.
"I have always known you and loved you.
His smile haunted her and stirred sweet feelings within. "What is your name? He gently whispered.
My name is....... My name is.... " her voice trailed off as she forgot herself, so caught up in him was she. The longing was gone replaced by his all consuming love. The memory of who she had been in him, long before she became distracted by other lovers and empty promises, returned. Catching her reflection in his eyes, her answer was music to her own ears. "My name is beloved ," she said......   To be continued..

police arrest 150 suspected Boko Haram members

Men of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested 150 middle-aged men suspected to be members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

The suspects, who were in possession of arms and ammunition, were being conveyed in a truck with registration number Kano NSR 97 XZ before they were intercepted by the policemen at Lipakala Junction in Ondo town.

The truck was heading towards Ore, in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state .
The suspects were initially detained at the Fagun Police Division before they were transferred to the headquarters of the command in Akure, the state capital.

Some of the items found inside the vehicle of the suspects included locally-made guns, knives, cutlasses and several torch lights .

One of the suspects, who identified himself as Abdulahi Sheriff, claimed that they were not Boko Haram members but farmers coming from Benin-Kebbi to seek greener pasture in Ore town.

He added that their relocation from the North was due to the harsh and dry season in their area which had negatively affected their activities as farmers.

The police spokesperson in the state, Mr. Femi Joseph, who confirmed the arrest, told our correspondent that the suspects claimed they were not terrorists but farmers who were travelling from Kebbi State to work in Ondo State.

Joseph said, “We discovered in our findings that the men are not Boko Haram members. Some of them engage in trading while some of them were going to Ore to do menial jobs. There is nothing that indicated that they are members of Boko Haram.”

On the issue of arms found in their vehicle, the Police Public Relations Officer explained that some of the suspects who were hunters were the owners of the guns and other weapons.

The police spokesperson, however, said the suspects would not be released until the command completed investigation into the matter.

He said, “We have to be completely sure that they are not members of the Boko Haram sect before we can allow them to go.”

Sex education: Talking to your teen about sex

Sex education basics may be covered in health class, but your teen might not hear — or understand — everything he or she needs to know to make tough choices about sex. That's where you come in. Awkward as it may be, sex education is a parent's responsibility. By reinforcing and supplementing what your teen learns in school, you can set the stage for a lifetime of healthy sexuality.

Breaking the ice

Sex is a staple subject of news, entertainment and advertising. It's often hard to avoid this ever-present topic. But when parents and teens need to talk, it's not always so easy. If you wait for the perfect moment, you might miss the best opportunities. Instead, think of sex education as an ongoing conversation. Here are some ideas to help you get started — and keep the discussion going.

Seize the moment. When a TV program or music video raises issues about responsible sexual behavior, use it as a springboard for discussion. Remember that everyday moments — such as riding in the car or putting away groceries — sometimes offer the best opportunities to talk.Be honest. If you're uncomfortable, say so — but explain that it's important to keep talking. If you don't know how to answer your teen's questions, offer to find the answers or look them up together.Be direct. Clearly state your feelings about specific issues, such as oral sex and intercourse. Present the risks objectively, including emotional pain, sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancy. Explain that oral sex isn't a risk-free alternative to intercourse.Consider your teen's point of view. Don't lecture your teen or rely on scare tactics to discourage sexual activity. Instead, listen carefully. Understand your teen's pressures, challenges and concerns.Move beyond the facts. Your teen needs accurate information about sex — but it's just as important to talk about feelings, attitudes and values. Examine questions of ethics and responsibility in the context of your personal or religious beliefs.Invite more discussion. Let your teen know that it's OK to talk with you about sex whenever he or she has questions or concerns. Reward questions by saying, "I'm glad you came to me."

Addressing tough topics

Sex education for teens includes abstinence, date rape, homosexuality and other tough topics. Be prepared for questions like these:

How will I know I'm ready for sex? Various factors — peer pressure, curiosity and loneliness, to name a few — steer some teenagers into early sexual activity. But there's no rush. Remind your teen that it's OK to wait. Sex is an adult behavior. In the meantime, there are many other ways to express affection — intimate talks, long walks, holding hands, listening to music, dancing, kissing, touching and hugging. What if my boyfriend or girlfriend wants to have sex, but I don't? Explain that no one should have sex out of a sense of obligation or fear. Any form of forced sex is rape, whether the perpetrator is a stranger or someone your teen has been dating. Impress upon your teen that no always means no. Emphasize that alcohol and drugs impair judgment and reduce inhibitions, leading to situations in which date rape is more likely to occur. Many teens wonder at some point whether they're gay or bisexual. Help your teen understand that he or she is just beginning to explore sexual attraction. These feelings may change as time goes on. Above all, however, let your teen know that you love him or her unconditionally. Praise your teen for sharing his or her feelings.

Policemen on domestic errands or escorting unauthorised persons will be arrested- Mike Okiro

Former Inspector General of Police, and current Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Mike Okiro, yesterday said that policemen found on domestic errand or escorting unauthorised persons will be arrested.

Okiro stated this in Abuja yesterday, January 13, while addressing some critical issues concerning the Nigeria Police Force. He said the the Police Service Commission has worked out a blueprint spelling out the duties of police officers attached to Very Important Personalities (VIPs) and that officers doing domestic job would not be tolerated anymore.

“The issue of policemen performing domestic duties, as you can all agree with me, has generated much uproar and even condemnation as it is capable of eroding the public esteem of members of the NPF. To stem the tide, we have worked out a blueprint of the class of VIPs that should enjoy the privilege of attaching police officers to provide VIP protection with their specific duties clearly spelt out. The matter is awaiting the consent of the relevant authorities, before we can start its implementation. This policy is very critical and is aimed at shoving up, the professionalism of the Police Force and rekindles the high respect the police deserve in the public eye cum image.”he said

Boko Haram: Police, others return to liberated areas soon –Dambazzau

POLICE and other paramilitary personnel would soon be deployed at liberated areas in the troubled North-East, Minister of Interior, Lt. General Abdulrahaman Dambazzau (retd), has said on Monday.

Dambazzau, who was on assessment visits to formations in Maiduguri, said most police posts and other offices of paramilitary agencies in the ministry were forced to shut down their operations in volatile areas in the region following repeated attacks by Boko Haram.

The minister said the visit was at the instance of the Minister of Defence who requested for redeployment of policemen and other personnel to the reclaimed areas in order to re-establish civil authorities.

He said this during his visit to the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garbai El-Kanemi, Maiduguri Maximum Prison and the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp. Shettima, in his response, said the police were the first major targets of the Boko Haram terrorists

In a related development, the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), a regional military force established by some African states including Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin Republic, has received operational vehicles to combat Boko Haram insurgents in border areas.

How to Tell if He Really Loves You

You've been wondering lately about how much your guy friend cares about you. It can be hard to figure out if he loves you, especially if he's never said "I love you." However, you can look for a few signs that will show you whether he really loves you or not.

1 Notice how he treats you. If your boyfriend loves you, he will treat you with respect. That means that he listens to you and cares about what's going on in your life. He notices the little things that you like and goes out of his way to give them to you. He values you as a person, and he genuinely listens to your opinions. Doing these things shows he honestly cares about you.

2 See how much you question his feelings. If a guy really loves you, it's doubtful you'll need to question it. That is, he's going to make you feel his love in one way or another, by showing you how he feels and saying it to you.[2]On the other hand, you have to make sure that maybe you're not letting your insecurities overrule the emotions of someone who obviously loves you. In other words, you may not feel like he loves you, but it could be just your anxieties talking. If past partners have said you get clingy sometimes, it may be a sign you're insecure. You may also notice yourself trying to be extra nice to win his love or trying to meet his needs all the time without thinking about your own.[3]One way to combat this type of insecurity is to pay attention to what you're feeling instead of always focusing on others; take the time to identify each emotion. As you identify emotions, notice how it guides your behavior. If you're feeling upset and you start worrying that your boyfriend doesn't love you, you may find yourself trying to please him more. Often, these anxieties are unfounded, especially if he's finding ways to show his love all the time.
Also, it's important to identify the source of your insecurity. Maybe you've internalized the critical voice of one of your parents, or maybe you've had rotten luck in past relationships with guys who have mistreated you. Don't just let your inner critic run wild. Instead, talk back to it. When you catch yourself doubting the other person or yourself, try to turn it around. For instance, if you find yourself saying "He didn't call me back, so he probably doesn't love me anymore," try to stop the thought. Say, "No, that's not right. He tells me he loves me everyday. He probably just got busy

3 Check to see how much time he spends with you. A guy who loves you is going to want to spend time with you. If he makes time for you on a regular basis and goes out of his way to see you, he's likely in love with you.[6]Watch to see if he blows you off. If your guy doesn't really care, he's more likely to blow you off. That means he won't make time for you as often as you'd like, and when he does, he may cancel at the last minute. If he's not consistently making time for you, then he probably doesn't love you.[7]Of course, sometimes, a guy is going to have a legitimate reason to cancel on you. However, he should try to give you as much advance notice as possible. He should also be interested in rescheduling. If he's not, he may not be that into you.

4 See if he's willing to do part of the work. That is, he should be willing to come up with plans and dates, not just you. You shouldn't have to schedule everything yourself. If he's willing to take the lead at least part of the time, he probably cares for you.[8]One way to make sure he's willing is to don't plan everything. Give your guy a chance to plan dates for you. He should be willing to take the initiative if he cares about you.

5 Make sure he's willing to compromise. Being in a relationship means making sacrifices sometimes by compromising with another person. That means, sometimes he gives a little more, and sometimes you give a little more. For instance, it may mean he's willing to go see a movie that he knows he's not going to like, while you're willing to go to the sport's bar sometimes, even if it's not your thing. If he's willing to participate in some give and take, then he's probably starting to fall in love with you

Evidences abound Buhari loves Igbos - Femi Adesina

Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina says contrary to popular belief, there are many evidences to show that President Buhari loves the Igbos in Nigeria. He stated this in an interview he had with Radio continental on Friday January 8th

"When the President ran for political office in 2003, who was his running mate? Dr Chuba Okadigbo. And in 2007? Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke. If he hated Igbos would he run with them? That shows you the respect and the regard he has for Igbos, it was political reality that compelled him to come south-west in 2011 and in 2015. Let me tell you a story.

Let me tell you a story. There is a prominent Igbo family in this country, if I mention their names you would know them, they are very prominent in the society. They told me a story that in the 70s, President Buhari was Minister of Petroleum, the family wanted to join the petroleum industry and then they made a bid. By then, there were not too many Nigerians playing in that industry, and there was a lot of scepticism from those around the then Lt Colonel Buhari, who was Oil Minister. They all said they don’t believe that the company as represented by that family had the capacity to play in the industry. This family told me that eventually, they got to Lt Colonel Buhari, he listened to them, and asked them; ‘Are you sure you have the capacity to do this?’ And they told him, ‘we can do it’. Then he removed his military cap, banged it on the table and told them, ‘it is done.' And he instructed that they give them that opportunity they wanted in the oil industry and today that family is so big and they never forget that the then Colonel Buhari as oil minister gave them the break they needed. They told me that story about three weeks ago. The next day, when I saw the president, I told him the story. He laughed and then went on to tell me that when people say he is against the Igbos, it baffles him, that really he never knew that family, he just trusted the assurance they gave him that they could play in the oil industry, and today they are very big. He went further to say that even under PTF, so many Nigerians, including Igbos, benefitted a lot. So there is no way you can say the man hates Igbos. The second Niger bridge is on the budget in 2016. Let's recall that the last President sometime in 2011 said that he would complete that second Niger bridge before 2015. He didn’t even go beyond the architectural drawing, but in 2016 budget, that project is there"he ssaid

Q: What do you have to say about the Chibok schoolgirls? Any negotiation in progress with Boko Haram?

ANS: We need to know a little bit of what happened behind the scenes, between the last government and some people masquerading as the leadership of Boko Haram who wanted to get the Chibok girls released. They actually turned it into a franchise, it became a commercial thing and they got money, possibly in millions of dollars, only for government to discover it had been swindled. They kept saying they could get the girls released , they could interface with Boko Haram and they went smiling to the bank with all that money, and nothing happened. So you should understand why this government is being careful and the President has said the genuineness of the leadership of Boko Haram must be determined before any negotiation takes place.

Q: The commendation actually goes to you and your media team, for the media chat of President Buhari a few days ago. Arising from that chat, it is reported that the president said that he would not grant bail to former NSA, Sambo Dasuki, and Nnamdi Kanu of Biafra. What was in the mind of the President.

ANS: Our president is a straight shooter, whatever is in his mind is what he tells you. He doesn’t believe in manipulating or any form of rigmarole. What he said, was that those people had grievous charges against them, but then, he does not preclude bail, if there are no pending charges against them. The situation now is when bail is granted, before that bail is perfected, those who are prosecuting them would have come with fresh charges, which warrant their being held further. So, that is the position, if there are no fresh charges, and there is bail, there is no reason to hold them. But the truth is that there are fresh charges leveled against them.

Q: One of the APC men has been arrested by EFCC, and that is Col Jafar Isa. What does that mean to you?

ANS: It means that in this corruption fight, no friend, no foe. One of the quickest ways for President Buhari to lose confidence in anybody is for that person to be tarred with the brush of corruption, and if proven to be true, you are on your own. All those who have said he is selective, it is because they do not know him. We know how much he detests corruption, and if any case is proven against anybody, no matter how close the person is, no matter how high ranking, that person will answer for it.

Q: On Forex policy of CBN, and Miss Christine Lagarde of IMF talking down on Nigeria, despite corruption allegation against her back home

ANS: If Miss Christine Lagarde has any corruption allegation, it is not Nigeria that has brought it against her. Nigeria has absolutely no role in that, we know what happened to her predecessor in office, when he had issues over sexual assault and all that. He was removed and he answered for it in court . We leave that to them for them to handle. But in terms of talking down, there was no talking down at all. I was at the meeting that she held with the President, there was absolutely no talking down, she spoke nicely and decently, I don’t agree that she spoke down on anybody. In fact she ended up commending the President, commending Nigeria, and she said she wouldn’t expect to hear a knock on her door any day from Nigerians asking for support because she has seen that Nigeria has all it takes to pull through this rough patch that she is passing through. I wouldn’t agree with you that she talked down on anybody, she had the right as MD of IMF to make prescription, Nigeria has the right either to accept or reject.

Q: When would the disability bill be signed into law?

ANS: This is the second time this is coming up on this show, because I remember this question came up the last time I was here and now that the Ministers are about two months in office this is also something that I would bring up.

Q: Please lead us into the privacy of the President. How does the President carry the enormous problem of this nation? How true is the statement that the only thing he is doing now is fighting corruption, neglecting issue of economy, infrastructure and welfare of citizenry?

ANS: I would like to begin by saying that corruption is central to every other thing in this country. If we want to talk about the economy, education, health care, if all the funds we would need to address these are squirreled away, how then do we address them? Fighting corruption is central to Nigeria's development, therefore the President has taken it as one of the key things that his administration would do. But then, that doesn’t mean that corruption is the only thing he is fighting, you need to see the man's schedule. He gets to the office in the morning about 9 a.m, the first thing he has required us to do is get the highlights of newspapers ready for him, and so before he comes in, we have reviewed the newspapers, we have done all the highlights and that is the first thing he looks at. Then he begins to attend to all the other things lined out for him. Across all the sectors, ministers and directors of agencies are meeting with him. He is a hard worker and at 73, I wonder how he does it. He does that till early evening, when he then retires home to have a late lunch and a rest, and then in the early evening he takes on people that have been scheduled to meet him, if there are. One thing that about this President is that as much as possible, you don’t get to his house and see a market. I was told that in the last dispensation the place would still be a beehive of activities as late as 2 a.m. But this man is methodical, he plans his days and in the process he is able to attend to much more. All the sectors are receiving attention, I can assure you.

Q: Funding the real sector is going to be very important in getting diversification, in getting the economy back on track. What about our developmental banks?

ANS: Talking of the real sector I know of BOI because, I engage with them, the MD, the corporate affairs people, we spoke two days ago and they have this programme on television which I follow. I think BOI is doing well and they have to be further empowered to do more. Talking of Treasury Single Account (TSA) it is work in progress, the rough edges are being smoothened. You heard the President on National Media Chat saying that about N1. 5 trillion has been harnessed into TSA. If you don’t harness this money, how do you use it? Now that that money is there, that is when we can talk of using it for the real sector.

Q: What is the plan of the government on state police?

ANS: I know that the APC had some promises in that respect, don’t forget that APC promised to look at our federation, and re-tune it, rework it, and part of the promises was to look into state police.

Q: The Nigerian Labour Congress is threatening to call out Nigerians to embark on strike, the reason is based on subsidy removal, which was alleged would bring untold hardship to common Nigerians. Could you shed light on this issue?

ANS: What hardship can be greater than what Nigerians passed through in the past four- six weeks, queueing endlessly to buy petrol and at the end of the day buying it at N200, N250, N300 per litre; what hardship can be greater than that? On the flip-side, what we are entering into now is something that would make life a lot easier for Nigerians, getting petrol, making sure that the supply is sustained because with crude oil prices down, why should Nigerians pay so high for refined petrol? That is what government is doing. Now that crude prices are down, this is the opportunity to arrive at appropriate prices for refined petrol, that is why we now have N86 from NNPC, N86.5 from other marketers, and it has also been said that this would be subject to review every quarter. That means if oil prices inch up again, it would affect how much we buy petrol. Labour, I am sure will look at the matter again, and know that it would be better that Nigerians get petrol at clearly affordable prices, reacting to prices of crude oil, rather than a subsidy regime that is fraught with so much corruption.

Q: What are the foreign policy plans of this administration?

ANS: We just had a minister of foreign affairs, who is settling down. The Ministers would just be two months in office soon. Economic diplomacy is very important for us. We know that we have engaged with the West, we have also gone East; China for instance is doing a lot of with us. Economic diplomacy is very important for Nigerians at this time, because like the President says, no country in the world can afford to stand alone again. Even President Obama said it at the UN General Assembly last September, no country in the world can afford to stand alone again because the things that unite the world now are economy and security. No country can afford to do it alone, so Nigeria's foreign policy would also be conditioned by that.

Q: Restructuring our federalism, what is the President approach to it?

ANS: As I said earlier, restructuring the federation is part of the promises the APC made when it campaigned, but you would also agree that it is not a one man show; it is not the President that would say, this is the way to do it. No, It has to be a deliberate policy, starting from the party, to the national assembly and then it becomes law and all that. It is not the President that would direct it.

Q: We want to bring five members of this parliament to Aso Rock, I mean people who call in on this radio, and present our needs to the president.

ANS: I assure you that it can be done. I will raise it with the President

Q: Most business people are having problems funding their transactions. What is being done in terms of bridging this?

ANS: It is not targeted at anybody. It is a policy from the Central Bank. During the Presidential Media Chat, the President promised that he would get the CBN governor to look at the matter again. He said it openly and publicly. But one thing about economic downturn and revival is that it is not at the snap of a finger, economies don’t collapse in a flash, it is a gradual thing. So you can’t expect that it’s going to be by the snap of the finger, and the economy is revived again. It has to be rebuilt, the foundation has to be relaid, that is what this government is doing, and with a government that is serious and focussed like this one, we would get there. All of us have to be patient to get there.

MEN STOP USING VIAGRA,Use these to increase your manhood size & strength

A true story from a Nigerian Man...

I Couldn't Satisfy My Wife In Bed... Caught Her With Our Gateman... Got Separated And Was About Losing My New Girlfriend Until I Found A Solution To My Embarrassing Small Penis & ChronicPremature Ejaculation”
"My problem wasn't just only small penis... my condition was so bad that many a time, I ejaculated even before entering"

But today, what worked for me has inspired and helped many guys rekindle their sex life - guys who almost lost hope just like you.

Here's my inspiring story...

First, I almost gave up on my small penis condition

The most frustrating experiences men could ever have is having a small penis... and not lasting long in bed.

I decided to do something about my needle-like dick after an embarrassing experience with Nike, my ex-wife :(

I was a devoted husband, and I was comfortable, working as a production manager in one of the Coca cola plants in Lagos.

By all standards, I was super comfortable, but...

My Only Problem Was That I Couldn't Satisfy My Wife in Bed

No thanks to my needle-dick and quick ejaculation problem;

At 3.9 inches, I knew I wasn't the smallest man in the world, neither was I the largest;

... and like every woman, that seemed to be what Nike wanted... a monster dick that fills all her honey pots, rubs and fuck her veejay wall till she starts speaking in tongues.

Sadly, she finally experienced it, but not from me

We have been married for close to 3 years, and has been on the issue all the while - medical treatments, prayer houses, local solution... name them... all know our faces.

My condition was so bad that many a times, I ejaculated even before entering.

You'll be absolutely right if you call me "a needle-dick"

Same name my first ever girl friend (at Uniben) labeled me before her friends.

I'll be absolutely honest with you here;

Nike was all nice and understanding.

A rare type and beautiful young woman in her late twenties, endowed with every good things of womanhood - big backyard, a set of well positioned oranges, killer hips, sexy and charming eyes, pinky lips etc

Uhm... she's endowed!

But, sadly has never enjoyed sex with me.

Never felt what it means to orgasm.

She wanted it badly.

Little wonder then

She Found Succor in Our Gateman; a Short Dirty Akwa Ibom Boy

Oh, I know!

I know what she did was a full blown adultery by all standards... but whenever I try to put myself in the shoes of a lady who remained a virgin till marriage, and has never enjoyed sex thereafter for 3 whole years, I feel for her.

On that fateful day... precisely on Friday, 16th May 2014, at around 9.23pm exactly, I told Nike I will be going for our usual night vigil programme at our church in College Road, Ogba Lagos.

She declined going with me.

I reasoned with myself about the stress she must have passed through during her travels over the week to see her mom.

So I dressed up picked the car key then left for the programme.

On getting to church, I discovered we were told to bring along pictures of our loved ones to pray on, I quickly turned my car and head back to the house which is about 25 minutes drive.

On getting inside, I heard screams from upstairs.

I ran up the stairs, two steps at a time, bounding into the bedroom to see what was wrong.

What was wrong was my wife, my beloved Nike, was laid on her back with some guy pounding away at her as if there was no tomorrow... in my matrimonial bed.

What was more wrong was she was moaning and enjoying it.... and hardly noticed anybody came in.

To say the least... the small man left inside of me DIED!

But thank goodness... that singular incident pushed me to finding the solution that eluded me for years.

A final solution to my closely related twin problems that had defiled every medication for years... and has made me 'waste' thousands of naira with no result.

Small Penis And Premature Ejaculation

I never believed such a simple stunt could mean the difference, not just in my sex life, but in more than 43 of my friends and their friends... still counting by the day.

To be continued...

‘I was hypnotized by pastor to steal company’s car’

Plans by a 25-year-old company driver to divert the company’s vehicle from Lagos State to Ogun State has been foiled by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, following his arrest alongside an alleged accomplice.

On interrogation, the suspect, Daniel Oguntade, alleged that he was hypnotized by his pastor (names withheld), to divert the company’s vehicle, a Toyota Hiace, 2014 model, with number plates EKY 463 DM.

Vanguard gathered that Oguntade was directed to pick up a client at the airport and, thereafter, drop N150,000 with other people on December 24, 2015.

Apprehension, however, set in when he did not return at 8p.m. as expected, with the visiting client stranded at the airport. Efforts to reach him proved abortive as he reportedly ignored several calls to his phone.

When the information reached Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, he reportedly directed the Commander, RRS, Olatunji Disu, to unearth the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the driver and the company’s vehicle.

With the collaboration of policemen at the Sango Area Command, Ogun State, the car was said to have been traced to Ifo in Sango, where the driver and a man, later discovered to be an electrician, were allegedly trying to disconnect the tracking device in the car.

Suspect’s story
Oguntade told Vanguard: “I had no intention of diverting the vehicle. My pastor talked me into doing it.

“I have been working for the company for three years without any soiled record. My salary is N60,000.

“I suspect I was hypnotized by my pastor (names withheld) because while I was on the Third Mainland Bridge at 11.30a.m., heading for the airport, I received two calls; one from my dad, informing that my mother was sick and the other from my Pastor, ordering me to report immediately at the church located at Adiyan, Ogun State.

“As if propelled by forces beyond me, I proceeded to the church in the company’s vehicle.

“On arrival, my pastor told me to drop the hampers in the church, even when I told him that my boss directed me to give them to some clients.

“He reminded me that that day was Imoke day, a special service day and asked me to join the service.

“A church member, Oyetade Ade, accompanied me to the fuel station to fill the tank. But to my surprise, the car refused to start while at the fuel station. Time was 7.30p.m.

Tracked down
“When I called my pastor to inform him about the development, he said I should tell my boss that the vehicle had been snatched by robbers, including the hampers and cash. I could not pick my calls when my boss called and when I eventually picked it, I could not talk.

“I never knew the vehicle had a tracking device. I thought it had an electrical fault that was why I called an electrician to repair it. To my surprise, RRS men swoop on us.”

Police sources told Vanguard that when invited, that the Pastor denied Oguntade’s claim.

The suspects were, yesterday, transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS

Sex worker jailed for letting clients rape, abuse daughters

Image result for sex workers in nigeria
A sex worker who allowed her clients to rape and indecently assault her daughters in “almost Victorian” conditions has been jailed for five years.
The mother – who cannot be named for legal reasons – beat her children with bamboo sticks and belts and kept them locked in a bedroom for days at a time.
Plymouth Crown Court heard the three girls were living in conditions described as “almost Victorian in their bleakness” and were sometimes forced to eat cat food and drink their own urine.
The woman had previously been convicted on eight counts of animal cruelty between 1976 and 1988 but the sexual abuse only came to light in 2014 when one of her daughters came forward.
She told of how her mother would work from the family home and allow a succession of clients and boyfriends to abuse her daughters when they were of primary school age.
One of the victims said she had attempted suicide when she was seven years old.
The mother, now 70 years old appeared in the dock with 60-year-old Raymond Williams who was jailed for three years for abusing two of the girls.
Another man, aged 57, had been due to stand trial for raping one girl on the bathroom floor but died before the case could be brought to court,  the Guardian reports.

We won’t stop NYSC, says FG

We won’t stop NYSC, says FG

The Federal Government has said it will not succumb to agitations from some quarters to scrap the National Youth Service Corps scheme.
The Minister of Youth Development and Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalong, in Lagos on Tuesday said the NYSC had come to stay, adding that its merits outweighed its disadvantages.

Dalong said this during an inspection tour of the Lagos State NYSC orientation camp in the Iyana Ipaya area of the state on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the scheme had not only enhanced the socio-cultural and ethnic integration in the country but had also promoted national unity.
He said, “We cannot dismiss the gains of the NYSC scheme in integrating Nigeria; I will stand firmly for the sustenance of the system, to continue in its capacity-building of Nigeria citizens because, it is an indispensable aspect of diversifying our culture.”
While pledging the Federal Government’s continued support for the scheme, the minister said that plan was in place to train interested graduates in skills acquisition after the mandatory one-year service.
He said such graduates would be provided with a start-up capital at the end of the training, which according to him would indirectly stimulate interest in education.
“Apart from the basic orientation programme, the NYSC scheme should also move into including professional and enterprising programmes to support and motivate those who would not want to embrace public services in the country.
“After the mandatory one-year service, the Federal Government is planning an extension, to professionally train interested corps members in skill acquisition, enterprising and professional programmes.
“Corps members with keen interest would be retained and some financial token given to them as start-up capital in furtherance of their skill. This is because due to our research, we find out that people abandon school due to uncertainty of the future. Hence, we believe this would help reduce the unemployed graduate ratio and curtail pressure on white-collar job as a means to win the war against poverty.”
Dalong expressed satisfaction at the state of the Lagos NYSC orientation camp, and thanked the Lagos State government for its support for the scheme.
The minister, however, noted that inadequate facilities at the NYSC orientation camp was one of the challenges of the scheme.
He said, “Nigeria did not plan to have the number of graduates in this present dispensation. If we had planned effectively, the concept of NYSC camping would have started with a permanent and effective structure.
“The visionaries of the scheme did not anticipate the lifespan of the scheme after the Civil War; the implementation of the scheme was a strategy to mobilise and integrate Nigerians together, hence, the huge number of graduates each year has put much pressure on the facilities, calling for constant renovation and upgrading,” the minister said.
Responding, the Director General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. Johnson Bamidele Olawumi, expressed gratitude to the minister for his visit and promised that his administration would do its best to uplift the NYSC scheme towards the economic growth and development of the country.
