Pro-Biafra protests: S’East govs shift meeting to Enugu

A meeting by the South-East governors and the Ohanaeze Ndigbo scheduled to discuss the activities of pro-Biafra groups in the southeastern geographical region have been postponed till next Tuesday.
Various stakeholders from the region are expected to attend the meeting which is being put together by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Okorocha, Sam Onwuemeodo, on Wednesday, said that the meeting which was scheduled to hold on Friday had been postponed till next Tuesday.
The statement said that the venue of the meeting had been moved from Owerri to Enugu.
According to the statement, the postponement was occasioned by the need to have all stakeholders in the region present at the meeting.
“The South-East governors, the Ohanaeze leadership and others who will be at the meeting will deliberate on the pro-Biafra protests that had gained momentum in recent time.
“It will also provide an avenue for the governors and other leaders to do what they are expected to do in the circumstance,” the statement said.
